Acne Scars Turmeric Powder

Acne:

Acne is a skin condition resulting from plugging hair follicles with oil and dead skin, excess sebum production, inflammation, and bacterial infection. Acne is triggered and made worse by genetics, hormonal changes, especially during puberty and midlife, some medications, stress, and diet. It appears on the face, shoulders, chest, and forehead and the skin areas with most sebaceous glands. It leads to small painful red, tender bumps, whiteheads, blackheads, pimples with pus at the tips, or large and painful lumps under the skin, depending on the severity. Although common with most teenagers, acne can affect all people of all ages. Acne heals to form visible scars, which often results in low self-esteem, and anxiety.

Natural Remedy:

Turmeric Powder paste.

Why it works:

Turmeric powder contains curcumin with anti-inflammatory, properties which helps reduce skin inflammation in acne, thus promoting faster healing. Curcumin's antimicrobial properties play a significant role in inhibiting bacterial growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria, a key contributor to causing acne. The antioxidant properties help in the prevention of excessive damage on the skin by free radicals reducing scarring. In addition, turmeric reduces excess oil production from the skin, aids in skin regeneration, and reduces melanin production that makes your acne scars darker.
