Sunburn is the skin’s inflammation resulting from over-exposure to the sun on a tanning bed or sun lamps. Sunburn is common in hot areas and during the summer. They are characterized by pain and tenderness on the skin, headache, swelling, and changes in skin tone. In severe cases, sunburns cause fever, nausea, and chills. Recurrent sunburns cause an acceleration in aging as it weakens the skin’s elasticity causing deep wrinkles and dry skin.
Cucumbers contain both antioxidants and analgesic properties suitable for soothing pain and consequently the skin inflammation caused by sunburns. Pure aloe vera gel that is extracted from the aloe leaves is best to soothe inflamed skin. In addition, aloe vera helps in moisturizing the skin during the healing process and fastens healing. Thus, aloe gel helps in relieving any discomfort and inflammation. In addition, using a chilled paste constricts blood capillaries on your skin, thus speeding up the recovery.
Get pure aloe Vera leaves. Start with chilling the cucumbers. Take out aloe vera gel from the leaves. Blend the chilled cucumbers and the aloe vera gel to make a paste. Apply the paste to the already inflamed skin.
