Sinusitis Mustard Seeds


Sinusitis:

Sinusitis is the swelling of the mucous membrane caused by natural or artificial allergens in outdoor or indoor spaces. Sinusitis is also a result of fungal, bacterial, or viral infection that leads to the inflammation of sinuses and the developing of mucus around the sinuses leading to blockage of the sinuses. Sinusitis is characterized by a sore throat, nasal discharge, headache, nasal stiffness, cough, and fever.

Natural Remedy:

Mustard seeds.

Why it works:

Mustard seeds are used to treat sinusitis, for they naturally drain the sinuses easing the nasal congestion. In addition, mustard seed water contains ally isothiocyanate as the main compound responsible for its anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties. Taking mustard seed relieves pains associates with sinuses such as headaches, besides causing heat generation in your body that breaks the nasal congestion and provides instant relief.

What you need:

  • One teaspoon of mustard seeds
  • 1 Glass of water
  • Clean Cloth

Step by Step Guide:

Clean the mustard seeds thoroughly. Put the seeds in a pot with a glass of water. Boil the mixture for fifteen minutes. Allow the mixture to cool before straining to separate the mixture. Dip the clean cloth to the water, squeeze and cover your nostrils with the cloth. Inhale a few times deeply.
