Nausea Ginger

Nausea:

Nausea is an awful sensation with an urge to vomit. Complications in the abdomen, pelvic region, brain, inner ear balance center, and spinal fluid body parts cause nausea. Other factors that aggravate nausea include medications, motion sickness, anesthesia, hangover, reproductive hormones, viral infections, and low blood sugar. In itself, nausea is a symptom of migraines, heart attack, ear infection, gastrointestinal blockage and meningitis.

Natural Remedy:

Ginger tea.

Why it works:

Ginger contains gingerol, a bioactive component that helps to increase a stomach’s digestive responsiveness by speeding up the stomach emptying, thus reducing nausea. In addition, ginger contains anti-inflammatory qualities that aid in improving the digestion of food in the stomach by stimulating the release of hormones that regulate blood pressure which calms the body and reduces nausea.

What you need:

  • One knob of fresh ginger
  • 4 cups of water

Step by Step Guide:

Peel the ginger using a peeler and trim off any dried ends with a knife. Cut or grate the ginger into small pieces. In a pot, mix the grated ginger in cold water and bring it to a boil for about 10 minutes. Simmer for five minutes and let it steep for about five minutes. Drink it warm.
