Echinacea tea is a sweet beverage that has been in use as a herbal remedy for centuries. Echinacea tea is a derivative from echinacea plant varieties, which belong to various plants from the daisy flowering family known as Asteraceae. The echinacea plant originates from North America. As a herb, Echinacea is commonly used to make herbal supplements, remedies, essential oils, and centuries to make tea.
Echinacea tea is derived from three types of echinacea plants echinacea purpurea, echinacea pallida, and echinacea Angustifolia. Their different colored flowers characterize these varieties. Echinacea purpurea variety is reddish-purple, echinacea pallida variety is a pale rose, while echinacea Angustifolia variety is violet. Echinacea tea is a herbal tea favored for its caffeine-free properties making it a preferential tea for many.
For centuries, Echinacea tea has been used as an immune booster by native North Americans for its supreme ability to fight infections. Its anti-bacterial properties prevent pathogens from attacking your immune system.

Although echinacea tea has many health benefits, it causes allergic reactions in young children and some adults with preexisting allergic reactions to pollen and herbs from the daisy family. When taken in large quantities, it irritates the stomach lining, causing pain and cramps. Moreover, its sweat aromatic smell makes some people feel nauseous.
