BE SMART ABOUT TRAVEL

Travel increases your chance of spreading and getting COVID-19. Air circulates and is filtered on airplanes, hence most viruses don't spread easily on flights. Crowded flights however, make social distancing profoundly difficult. Importantly, the CDC recommends that you do not travel at this time. If you choose to travel in the U.S., you must wear a face mask on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation. Masks may be removed for eating, drinking, and sleeping, but otherswise must fit snugly and cover both your mouth / nose.

RULE #1: BE CAREFUL ON THE PLANE:

Aeroplanes are filled with so many small spaces and can put you at risk. Instead of travelling, try video call, or skype/TEAMS. Additionally, if you choose to travel by bus or train, your chances of being exposed to the virus increases significantly especially in crowded terminals, counter surfaces, desks, and bathrooms. Your health is very important.

RULE #2: DON’T TRAVEL FOR LONG DISTANCE WITH OTHERS:

Adults and travelers with underlying health issues should stay home unless you have a reasonable excuse. If you need to travel, you should stay local – meaning avoiding travelling outside of your town or the part of a city where you live – avoid situations that put you at increased risk for more severe disease. This entails avoiding crowded places, non-essential travel, and especially avoiding cruise ships. It’s best to stay home if you can.
